In this golden age of rapid development in the new energy vehicle industry, Oswell Co., Ltd. has continued to specialise in the field of electric propulsion through its unwavering commitment to technological innovation. Since its initial development and design, the company’s core product—the DHT Dual Electric Control System—has undergone numerous technical iterations. This strategic-level product, built on single-transistor parallel technology, has not only reshaped product development logic through its modular design but will also, in the future, leverage the advantages of supply chain collaboration to empower automotive partners in reducing costs and improving efficiency, becoming a key driving force behind the advancement of hybrid technology.
As a pioneer in the implementation of single-tube parallel technology in China,Oswell Co., Ltd. has focused on this field since its inception. Compared with traditional IGBT modules, single-tube parallel technology not only reduces the cost of electronic control but also enhances system reliability through a distributed layout. In 2023, annual production of the three-in-one electric drive assembly equipped with this technology surpassed 100,000 units, and it has been successfully supplied to leading automakers such as Geely and Wuling, validating the market viability of this technical approach.
Meanwhile, the DHT dual-ECC system maximises the potential of single-tube parallel technology through continuous optimisation of current-sharing algorithms and thermal management systems.
With Oswell’s Zhuji headquarters set to commence production shortly, the DHT dual-control system is poised to become a best practice in platform-based development. Through a modular architectural design, the product can rapidly adapt to power requirements ranging from 30 to 120 kW, reducing the development cycle by 50 per cent; this feature aligns closely with the industrial cluster Oswell is currently establishing. In the future, as production capacity is ramped up, this product line will support an annual output value target of tens of billions of yuan, establishing a closed-loop full industrial chain covering R&D, manufacturing and testing.
1 Power Dimension:
A dual-output architecture of 300 ARMS + 500 ARMS on the 400V platform enables millisecond-level coordination between the generator and drive motor, achieving a peak efficiency of 98.5% and helping to improve the vehicle’s NVH performance by two grades;
2. Scalability:
Reserved upgrade interfaces for the 800V platform, with current expansion capabilities covering market demand for the next five years;
3. Safety:
Having undergone thousands of hours of rigorous testing in extreme conditions ranging from -40°C to 105°C, EMC Class 3 certification demonstrates its electromagnetic compatibility capabilities;
This performance matrix has been validated through installation in a leading PHEV model, demonstrating excellent stability even under complex operating conditions.
Component level: Compatible with MOSFET solutions from multiple manufacturers, reducing procurement costs.
Manufacturing level: Utilises a distributed unit design, reducing maintenance costs and achieving a breakthrough in production line first-pass yield;
Ecosystem level: Leveraging the localised supply chain established through the Zhuji headquarters project to reduce logistics costs;
The combination of these three advantages will enable DHT’s dual-control system to maintain its technological lead whilst offering a lower overall cost than competing products, making it the preferred solution for large-scale deployment on automotive manufacturers’ hybrid platforms.
The head of R&D at Oswell Co., Ltd.once remarked: “True technological innovation lies in making high-end performance accessible to all.” This flagship product, honed through market trials, will reshape the competitive landscape of global hybrid technology with the innovative DNA of ‘Made in China’.
